Anyone else on a total smoothie kick right now?
To be honest I am a smoothie lover year round. Over the past couple of weeks, my smoothie obsession has come back with a vengeance, and I’ve been having at least one a day – sometimes even two. I’m picky when it comes to what I will guzzle down, though – I mean, a girl’s gotta have her standards, right?
First, my smoothies have to be thick enough so that I have a hard time sucking them up through a straw – bonus points if I have to bust out a spoon. They also have to be loaded, not only with healthy and wholesome ingredients, but PLENTY of healthy and wholesome ingredients.
I used to be wary of drinking my calories because I was afraid the endeavour would do nothing to satisfy my hunger and only leave me prowling the kitchen in search of something more, and while that’s definitely happened on a handful of occasions, it was mostly because I was doing it all wrong…
They need to pack a nutritious punch if you want to be satisfied for hours without wanting any more food.

You want to chop your banana into small coins before freezing. You won’t be able to cut it easily after it’s frozen and it’s pretty tough to blend a full frozen banana. So just chop it, toss it in a baggie, and freeze for smoothies! You can add some veggies into this recipe if you like sneaking them into a smoothie. Toss half cup of spinach or cooked cauliflower rice. Both are great options and don’t really change the flavor. Its totally customisable, you can add your own ingredients and toppings to make this smoothie recipe your own.

Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to a blender.Blend for 30 seconds or until smooth and creamy.Pour into 2 glasses and top with your chosen toppings.Note: The amount of almond milk you use determines how thick or thin you would like your smoothie.
