Full of chocolate flavour and packed with protein and fibre, you will definitely want to try this recipe! It is a great option for a quick breakfast or dessert. I like to make it the night before and put in the fridge so the texture is firmer. However, you can also blend and eat straight away, if you prefer. Either way it is really delicious.
I’m all about looking for new ways to add more protein to my diet and this chocolate protein pudding is perfect for dessert or an anytime snack.
Why you will love this pudding
Easy – Can be made in one bowl with just 5 simple ingredients! Yay for minimal clean-up. Plus, it doesn’t require any “setting up” like traditional pudding does.
Customizable – This pudding is totally customizable. Feel free to make this recipe your own with your favorite toppings and mix ins!
Protein-packed – It’s packed with a whopping 45 grams of protein per serving making it perfect for a post-workout snack or satisfying dessert.
The hemp and chia are both nutritional powerhouses and are great sources of plant based protein. Hemp seeds, in particular, are very high in protein. They also make sure you get a good amount of omega 3 fatty acids as both hemp and chia seeds are high in omega 3s.
This is the perfect lazy girl (or guy) breakfast or healthy snack. The kind for when you want something delicious, but can’t be bothered to cook something complicated. There’s even more to love about this pudding: no leftovers to worry about – that’s the benefit of small batch cooking.
Although this simple recipe makes the perfect quick, (lazy if you like) breakfast with absolutely minimal preparation it also makes a perfect midday snack or post-workout snack. It’s packed with protein, tastes like dessert and is the perfect healthier and lighter way to satisfy your chocolate cravings. You can enjoy it as an instant pudding, or chill in the fridge for a couple of hours for a thicker dessert.
With a base of yogurt, its versatile, nutritious, and delicious. But what if we took it up a notch and added a rich, chocolatey twist? Enter homemade chocolate protein yogurt – a creamy, indulgent treat perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth the healthy way.
Why I love making this chocolate yogurt pudding:
Chocolate yogurt is not something I’ve come across often, but I have seen a rise in high protein chocolate puddings, which gave me the idea of making a homemade version, but healthier by using Greek yogurt as the base.
It mixes very well, super yummy and is very filling. The result is a healthy pudding like dessert that tastes amazing, but is also packed with gut friendly probiotics, healthy fats and antioxidants.
Why you need to try this chocolate yogurt pudding:
Control over ingredients: Store-bought pudding is typically loaded with questionable ingredients, but this recipe is made with real food ingredients. No preservatives, artificial sweeteners or weird additives!
Unlike most treats that you pick up from the supermarket, even the so called ‘healthy’ versions, there’s often many questionable ingredients like flavourings, emulsifiers and stabilisers.
By making your own easy desserts at home like this chocolate yogurt deliciousness, you have complete control over what goes into it.
Nothing beats homemade – It will always taste better and be better for you! Mixes very well, super yummy, very filling.
Customisable: You can adjust things like the sweetness to your preference, making it as rich or as light as you like. You can also change around the ingredients depending on likes/dietary needs.
Probiotic-Rich: Yogurt contains beneficial probiotics that support gut health, making this chocolate yogurt pudding a great snack to enjoy in between meals or a lighter dessert. A really easy and fun way to feed your microbiome!
Cost-Effective: Making flavoured yogurt at home can be more cost effective than buying pre-made versions, especially if you make it regularly.
Fun and Rewarding: There’s a certain satisfaction in making something from scratch, and this classic, creamy recipe is surprisingly easy to make…and after trying this silky, decadent chocolate pudding recipe, you will never want store-bought again!
