Maple Pecan Delight Fudge

Spread the love

My maple fudge recipe needs just 3 ingredients to make and is smooth, rich, creamy, and melts in your mouth! It has a bold maple flavor, with the perfect amount of pecan crunch.

We have all heard of peanut butter, and some of us have even tried almond or cashew butter, but have you ever had pecan butter before?

It’s sweet, nutty, and buttery, and the flavor is reminiscent of a fresh-out-the-oven pecan pie. This sweetness and richness come from the naturally high oil content of the pecans, which results in a much smoother butter compared to other nut butters.

Once you start spreading pecan butter on your morning oats, on toast, or adding it to your post-workout smoothie, you are not going to be able to stop!

The homemade recipe for pecan butter is below in notes and comes together in fifteen minutes and only requires three ingredients, so put the store-bought stuff down and get blending.

Is Homemade Pecan Butter Healthy?

I love nut butter. I love spreading it, I love dipping snacks into it, and I love just eating it straight out of the jar. Not only is this pecan nut butter delicious, but it’s also loaded with protein, fiber, vitamin E, magnesium, potassium, and healthy fats. It is definitely a healthy and nourishing choice!

For those of us who don’t have nut allergies, there are so many reasons why nut butters are a great addition to a healthy, balanced diet.

Aside from the many health benefits, nut butters provide a concentrated source of energy, healthy fats, protein, and essential vitamins and minerals, making them a valuable addition to various meals and snacks. They are nutrient-dense, and varieties like pecan butter also contain vital antioxidants that help combat inflammation in the body.

No matter which variety of nut or seed butter is your favorite, incorporating these plant-based butters into your diet can keep you feeling full for longer, provides an excellent source of nutrients, and makes for a delicious and healthy treat between meals.

Why I love this recipe:

Only 3 ingredients. All you need is pecans, maple syrup, and coconut oil. Seriously that is it.

Perfect texture and flavor. The fudge is rich and creamy and melts in your mouth! It has a subtle maple taste without being overpowering.

Healthy. Most fudge recipes call for condensed milk, butter, or excessive amounts of sugar. Not this one!

It’s FAST. It’s the perfect treat to make if you have an event or gathering and need to bring a plate!

Fudge, like many candy recipes, is a holiday classic. Unfortunately, making a fudge the old-fashioned way can often be temperamental calling for high heat, long cooking and a candy thermometer.

This fabulous fudge recipe takes a brilliant shortcut with just 3 simple ingredients and no cooking. Just a little warming to melt the ingredients.

The maple flavor and best-in-class pecans come together to form a rich, creamy fudge that will leave your taste buds wanting one more piece!

Notes

Homemade Pecan Butter is so easy to make and absolutely delicious. All you need are pecans, a little spice, a food processor, and less than 15 minutes. Save yourself time and money by making your own natural nut butter at home.
Homemade Pecan Butter
2 cups pecans
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Pinch of ground cinnamon
Preheat your oven to 350°F and spread the pecans on a baking sheet. Bake until lightly golden brown with a nutty smell, about 5 to 10 minutes.
Transfer the pecans to a food processor along with the salt and cinnamon, and blend on the fastest setting until smooth and creamy, about 3 to 5 minutes.
Transfer to an airtight container and store at room temperature.
How To Use Pecan Butter
Go ahead and eat this homemade pecan butter right out of the jar by the spoonful, or check out the ideas below for what to drizzle and spread it on.
Super easy to make, loaded with healthy fats, low in sugar, and high in flavor, this pecan butter is such a great alternative to the same old peanut or almond butter.
From spreading on apples or bananas as a snack, to using as a base for your favorite energy balls, consider this pecan butter your new go-to!
I love to drizzle it over a fresh slice of banana bread or toast. You can also dip fresh fruit into a bowl of pecan butter, like apple slices, grapes, orange slices, or even bananas. I drizzle it on ice cream, smoothie bowls and into smoothies and keep a jar in the fridge and put it on EVERYTHING I can!
I feel like when it comes to healthy benefits, pecans seem like an underdog when in actuality they’re winning the race. Unlike peanuts (which are actually a legume and not a nut), pecans are absolutely loaded with vitamins and minerals.
From maintaining healthy skin and hair to keeping you satiated and increasing metabolism, the list of things pecans can do for you is almost endless. Besides having such amazing flavor, pecans are loaded with manganese, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, and selenium.
After you have made your first batch of pecan butter, you can start to incorporate it into your cooking. For a quick snack, try a spoonful and get a boost of energy.
You can substitute pecan butter for whenever you would normally use peanut butter, like pb&j sandwiches, protein smoothies, earthy sauces, and homemade salad dressings. It would even be great in desserts, such as cookies, cupcakes, pies, or brownies.
The possibilities really are endless, especially if you are up for some experimenting in the kitchen.
