When you want a quick treat that you can make in just a few minutes, try this incredible recipe. This is Nice Cream which is a term that has come to represent any fruit-based treat free from loads of sugar and artificial flavors,

Its a yummy ice cream made with frozen fruit (usually bananas) base and other add-ins!  You simply blitz pieces of frozen fruit in a food processor or high-speed blender and the end result is a whole-food ice cream that is rich, creamy, and luscious enough for a special occasion yet light and easy enough for an any time indulgence.

It’s called ‘nice cream’ rather than ice cream, just to differentiate the two. Nice cream is a super easy, take on traditional ice cream, yet made very differently.

It sounds too good to be true doesn’t it? Ice-cream just out of bananas – yeah right! About this little concoction, I cannot hold back. It IS amazing. You will need to keep going back and trying it and saying – that can’t be right.

Healthy Chocolate Banana Nice Cream

Let me introduce you to this healthy and delicious ice cream-like dessert that can be served either soft-serve or hard and scoop-able.
It's made from simple,wholesome and healthy ingredients, including frozen bananas which blends up to a similar creamy consistency as ice cream. The best nice cream recipe you will ever have.

Ingredients

  • 4 bananas, sliced, frozen
  • 1 cup dates, soaked 30 minutes and drained
  • 1/4 cup coconut (or any other) milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mix-Ins Optional

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a food processor (except mix ins) and process until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. This may take a few minutes.
    Add a little more milk if necessary to get things moving but the less liquid used the thicker the ice cream will be.
    If you are using chocolate chips or nuts, fold them into the ice cream mixture with a spatula after blending.
    For a soft-serve consistency, serve the ice cream immediately.
    For a firmer texture,transfer the mixture to a lidded container and freeze for an additional 1-2 hours.
