3-Ingredient Healthy Ice Cream
Healthy ice cream is so easy to make and tastes amazing. The basic concept is simple: Just blend peeled, frozen and chopped bananas in a food processor or blender until a creamy soft serve ice cream texture is achieved! After you have the base, you can create an endless array of custom flavors, including chocolate, any fruit or berry, coconut, any nut or seed butter, caramel, coffee, protein powder and so on. I always have a stash of frozen bananas in the freezer to create a super easy ice cream that tastes just as indulgent as anything you can buy. You can make it thick and incredibly creamy with just a few minutes of prep!Depending on the strength of your blender, you may want to add a small amount of milk of choice or liquid, such as pineapple juice, to help with the blending process. Inspiration is everywhere – from restaurant menus to grocery store displays, to even looking up the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor list online.
- 1 banana, peeled, frozen chopped
- 1 1/2 cups strawberries, fresh or frozen
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- Use frozen banana and frozen strawberries. Add all ingredients to your high speed blender or food processor and blend until you are happy with the consistency. I like to leave chunks of fruit to give texture.You can experiment using less milk to make the ice cream thicker, but this is perfect for serving immediately.Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
