Looking to indulge in a dessert that combines creamy chocolatey fudginess, with a walnut-ty date base?  Well, today you are in luck as I am sharing this delicious healthy recipe!

A decadent chocolate pie – you are in for a treat, as not only is this pie quick and easy to make, it’s also packed with nutritious ingredients in the form of a secret ingredient.

That secret ingredient is avocado.

I know what you might be thinking.

There goes another foodie with her eye rolling basic avocado obsession, ruining dessert by putting avocado in everything. But it so happens, the concept of sweet avocado desserts is actually not a recent invention at all.

Populations around the world have been using the superfood fruit to make smoothies, milkshakes, pudding, fruit salad and ice cream for years.

High in healthy fats (over 75% of the fat in avocado is the heart healthy unsaturated kind) and with a mild flavor, the creamy fruit is the perfect base for chocolate recipes like this rich chocolate avocado pie.

So now we have that cleared up, you can be assured this chocolate avocado pie is the ultimate easy. no bake. healthy dessert! NO grains, dairy, gluten and refined sugars, no eggs, no heavy cream and no oven.

The avocado serves as the creamy element to the mixture and allows you to have a gorgeously silky smooth filling without having to use ingredients like cream and butter.

It’s a healthy pie that tastes delicious and brings a lot of nutrients. It is one of the best no-bake desserts you will try! You won’t believe there is avocado hiding in there.

The star ingredient in this recipe is avocado! Bright, green and potassium-rich avocados. With a texture so luxuriously thick and smooth, you will absolutely never believe the healthy ingredients!

Avocado is a magical fruit, in more ways than you probably know. In this small round fruit is a host of vitamins and minerals, good fats, enzymes, fiber, protein, and carbohydrates. They are so nutritious they can practically be a meal by themselves.

When you blend avocados together they become the perfect creamy and thick consistency, similar to a thick pudding. Add in a little cocoa powder and sweetener and you have got yourself an amazing chocolate pudding! And….you won’t even taste the avocado!

This means you can enjoy all the health benefits and the silky smooth texture without ever being able to tell the secret ingredient is there.

This delicious pie only takes about 30 minutes to make and just needs to be chilled in the fridge for a few hours. I recommend topping it with whipped coconut cream (recipe below in notes) and fresh berries.

The cream is fluffy and light and the crust is fudge-like and oh so chocolatey.

Pies like this are my favorite easy desserts to make for friends and family. They always come back asking me to make them more pie!
