The super concentrated shots are touted as convenient little boosts that go down fast and are quickly absorbed by your body.

It’s a concentrated drink made of fresh ginger, lemon juice, chia seeds and almond milk or apple juice. It’s a small drink, so it’s meant to be taken in one gulp, or a couple of sips. Because it’s so concentrated, it has a strong and intense flavor. Its so easy to make either the little shots or gummies.

These spicy little gummies is what I reach for when my health needs a little extra TLC and they pack a serious punch. Luckily, it’s so easy to make your own gummies and add them to your routine whenever you need one.

Ginger provides various health benefits, including relieving nausea and indigestion, reducing inflammation and pain, and improving blood sugar levels and cholesterol. Its active compound, gingerol, possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that contribute to these effects by helping to manage free radicals and promote gastrointestinal motility. Ginger can be consumed in various forms to support overall well-being and aid in digestive health. It can be used as an immune system boost as well.

Lemons offer numerous health benefits, primarily due to their high content of Vitamin C, potassium, and beneficial plant compounds. Key advantages include boosting the immune system, supporting heart health and controlling blood pressure, improving digestion, promoting healthy skin and wound healing, and potentially aiding in weight management.

Chia seed popularity has surged due to growing consumer interest in health-promoting “superfoods,” driven by their rich nutritional profile including high fiber, omega-3s, and protein content, as well as their versatility and ability to be incorporated into various dietary trends like plant-based and gluten-free diets. Social media platforms, health influencers, and wellness campaigns have further fueled this trend, spreading awareness of their benefits for heart health, digestion, and weight management.

Chia seeds have high amounts of calcium, zinc, magnesium, iron, selenium and copper. Often referred to as one of the world’s most nutritious foods they pack a mighty punch, aiding digestion, supporting heart health, and providing a sustained source of energy throughout the day.

For example…

2 tablespoons of chia seeds has:
64% more potassium than a banana
5 times more calcium than milk
41% of your daily fibre
3 x more iron than spinach
2 x the antioxidants of blueberries
100% more omega-3 than salmon

Gummies are the perfect snack for kids and adults alike. However, most store-bought gummies contain refined sugars like glucose syrup, sugar, dextrose or artificial flavors and colors, which doesn’t make them the healthiest option.

Even though they claim to be fruit-flavored, there is very little – if any at all – actual fruit in them. Gummy candies are filled with unhealthy ingredients with a list on the label that looks like this – sugar, sugar, corn syrup, sugar, red 40, blue 1, and yellow 5.

Homemade gummies can be made with real vegetables, protein-rich gelatin and no refined sugar! Great for picky eater children or adults that resist eating vegetables.  Cooked, pureed carrot, pumpkin, broccoli and so on are perfect for making gummies. You can even use greens powder or blend up chia, hemp, flax seeds too and incorporate into a gummy.

As with the classic homemade fruit gummies, the sky is the limit when deciding what shape to make gummies. You can use different fun shapes or gummy bear molds. If you don’t have any silicone molds, you simply pour the mixture into ice cube trays or a pan and cut them into squares when they have firmed.

Loaded with nutrients and so much better for you than store-bought. A great option for an easy and healthy all-natural snack with protein and no artificial junk in them! Easy to make and fun to eat! Making them at home means they are all-natural and helps you avoid chemicals in storebought ones to improve your overall wellness.

If you are looking for some extra motivation to help with your fitness journey, and are bored of the regular protein shakes and energy bars, then treating yourself to delicious and nutritious gummies can be a great option. Not only do they taste amazing, but these chewy treats provide essential nutrients that will help you not only during workouts or other physical activities but also offer a myriad of benefits to enhance your daily life.

Prioritise your well-being and experience a natural and sustained energy boost throughout your day with this unique gummy recipe. A delectable, effective, and wholesome addition to your daily routine.
