Creamy, Chocolatey & Freezer-Friendly (Blended Bites Style)
If you love frozen banana treats, nut butter, and chocolate, these Banana Nut Protein Bites are about to become your new favourite healthy snack. They are creamy, naturally sweet, chocolate-coated, and packed with protein – basically everything you could want in a bite-sized freezer treat.
Inspired by classic frozen banana bites, this Blended Bites version takes things one step further by adding protein for extra staying power and satisfaction. The result? A snack that tastes indulgent but actually helps fuel your day.
This recipe is proof that healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated. With just a handful of simple ingredients and no baking required, you can create a freezer stash of nourishing treats that are perfect for busy days, post-workout snacks, or evening cravings.
The bananas are what make these bites so special. Once frozen, they become creamy and almost ice-cream-like in texture, naturally sweet without needing loads of added sugar. Enriched with a layer of protein-packed nut butter filling and drizzled with dark chocolate, they deliver that perfect balance of creamy, crunchy, sweet, and rich. The filling is where the protein boost comes in. Mixing nut butter with protein powder creates a thicker, creamier centre that is both satisfying and functional. Peanut butter works beautifully here, but almond or cashew butter are equally delicious depending on your flavour preference.
And because this is a Blended Bites recipe, it’s all about balance – not restriction. You are not giving up chocolate or sweet treats. You are simply pairing them with nourishing ingredients that help stabilise energy and keep you fuller for longer.
The dark chocolate coating takes these bites to the next level. Once chilled, it creates that satisfying snap instantly transforming a simple frozen snack into something that feels like a dessert straight from a café freezer.
One of the best things about these bites is how versatile they are. Keep them simple for an everyday snack or customise them depending on your mood. Add crushed peanuts for crunch, drizzle with extra chocolate, or sprinkle with sea salt for that sweet-salty combination everyone loves. They are also perfect for meal prep. Make a batch once and keep them stored in the freezer for whenever cravings hit. Having nourishing snacks already prepared makes healthy choices so much easier – especially during busy weeks.
These bites are ideal for so many moments: an afternoon energy boost, a post-workout snack, a lunchbox addition, or a healthier dessert after dinner. Because they are individually portioned, they naturally support mindful snacking too.
Texture-wise, they are everything you want. The banana becomes soft and creamy, the nut butter filling adds richness, and the chocolate drizzle gives that perfect crisp bite. Together, it’s a combination that tastes indulgent while still feeling light and refreshing.
These Banana Nut Protein Bites are the kind of recipe you will make once and immediately add to your regular rotation. Simple ingredients. Minimal prep. Maximum satisfaction.
Because healthy snacks should never feel boring – and these definitely don’t. ✨
