What do you get when you take a creamy yogurt parfait, make it bite-sized, add a little protein and pop it in the freezer?
These delicious Frozen Yogurt Protein Snack Bites!
They are creamy, fruity, crunchy and just sweet enough to feel like a treat. And because they are frozen, they have that wonderfully refreshing texture that makes them especially irresistible on a warm day.
At Blended Bites, we love taking simple everyday ingredients and turning them into something that feels special. These little bites are a perfect example. They combine thick Greek yogurt, protein powder, fresh berries and a crunchy oat-and-nut base to create a snack that is both nourishing and genuinely delicious.
Think frozen yogurt meets a mini fruit parfait – with a protein boost. And there is no baking required.
Why You Will Love These Little Bites
Sometimes the best snacks are the simplest ones. These Frozen Yogurt Protein Snack Bites require only a handful of ingredients, take just minutes to assemble and can live happily in your freezer until you are ready for a quick snack.
They are:
High in protein
No-bake
Naturally refreshing
Easy to make
Perfect for meal prep
Family-friendly
Freezer-friendly
Great for breakfast or dessert
They are also wonderfully portable. Pop a few into a container and you have got a ready-made snack waiting whenever you need something cold, creamy and satisfying.
The Protein Upgrade
Traditional frozen yogurt bites are delicious, but adding protein makes them much more satisfying. Greek yogurt already provides protein, and adding a scoop of vanilla protein powder takes things another step further.
Protein is important because it helps keep us feeling satisfied after eating. It’s also essential for maintaining and repairing muscle tissue and plays many important roles throughout the body. That is why we love adding protein to snacks whenever it makes sense. It does not mean turning every dessert into a “fitness food.” It simply means adding something nourishing to a recipe you already love.
That is the Blended Bites approach: add, don’t subtract. Instead of taking away the foods you enjoy, add ingredients that provide more nourishment.
A Creamy, Crunchy Combination
The magic of these bites comes from the contrast between textures.
The yogurt layer is thick, creamy and slightly tangy.
The berries add little bursts of juicy sweetness.
And underneath it all is a crunchy oat-and-nut base that gives you something to sink your teeth into.
It is very similar to eating a frozen yogurt parfait, except everything is conveniently contained in one little bite. And somehow, food just tastes more fun when it is bite-sized.
Choosing Your Fruit
You can use almost any berries you have available. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries all work beautifully. You can even make different combinations in the same batch.
Try blueberry and lemon for something bright and refreshing, strawberry and vanilla for a classic combination, or raspberry and chocolate for something a little more indulgent.
For sweeter bites, use ripe fresh berries. Frozen berries can also work, although fresh fruit tends to give you a nicer texture in the finished bites.
Don’t Skip The Crunchy Base
The crunchy base is what makes these different from simply freezing yogurt in molds. A simple combination of oats, nuts and a little nut butter creates a delicious homemade “granola” layer without requiring you to bake anything. You get the satisfying crunch of a parfait base along with healthy fats, fibre and extra texture. Almonds, cashews, walnuts or pecans all work beautifully. You could even add a few coconut flakes for a tropical twist.
Perfect for Meal Prep
These are made for freezer meal prep. Make a batch at the beginning of the week – or whenever you have fresh berries that need using – and you will have a stash of ready-to-eat snacks waiting in the freezer. Because they are frozen individually, you can take out exactly as many as you need. Let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes and they soften into a delicious creamy consistency. Or eat them straight from the freezer if you love that firmer frozen-yogurt texture.
Blended Bites Tips
Use thick Greek yogurt so the bites freeze creamy rather than watery.
Choose a vanilla protein powder for the best flavour.
Don’t overfill the molds – smaller bites are easier to eat and thaw more quickly.
Use silicone molds if you have them for the easiest removal.
Let them soften slightly before eating for the creamiest texture.
Fun Ways to Customize Them
Once you have made the basic recipe, it is easy to create your own combinations.
Try adding:
Mini dark chocolate chips
Shredded coconut
Chia seeds
Hemp hearts
Cacao nibs
Lemon or orange zest
Peanut butter drizzle
Chopped pistachios
You could even make a chocolate version by mixing cocoa powder into the yogurt layer.

I love using yogurt as a base to provide a healthy, protein-rich, and creamy alternative to traditional ice cream. To get the best texture, use full-fat Greek yogurt. It has lower water content than regular yogurt, which prevents ice crystals and yields a rich, tangy foundation. Here are some more delicious recipes:
