Light, Creamy & The Most Versatile Freezer Treat You Will Ever Make (Blended Bites Style)
Some recipes are so simple you wonder why you didn’t think of them sooner.
These Frozen Whipped Cream Protein Bites are one of those recipes.
Made with whipped dairy cream or rich coconut cream, lightly sweetened and boosted with protein powder, they are piped into beautiful little dollops before being frozen into melt-in-your-mouth bites. They are creamy like mousse, light as a cloud, and surprisingly satisfying thanks to their generous protein content.
The best part? They are much more than just a frozen dessert.
Keep a container in your freezer and you will find yourself reaching for them in all sorts of delicious ways – from transforming your morning coffee into something café-worthy to creating instant healthy desserts in seconds.
At Blended Bites, we are always looking for recipes that are simple, nourishing, and incredibly versatile. These Frozen Whipped Cream Protein Bites tick every box. They require only a handful of ingredients, take just minutes to prepare, and can be customised with endless flavour combinations.
They also prove that healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated.
The magic starts with freshly whipped cream. If you are using dairy, heavy whipping cream creates beautifully fluffy peaks that freeze into little bites of creamy heaven. Prefer dairy-free? Full-fat coconut cream works just as well, adding a subtle tropical flavour while still producing a rich, velvety texture.
Then comes the ingredient that makes these bites extra special – protein powder.
Protein powder does more than simply increase the nutritional value. It actually helps stabilise the whipped cream, allowing it to hold its shape beautifully when piped onto a tray. The result is neat little swirls that freeze perfectly while delivering a satisfying protein boost.
Protein also helps keep you feeling fuller for longer, making these frozen bites much more substantial than ordinary whipped cream. That is one of the reasons we love adding protein to desserts. You get all the indulgence with the added bonus of nourishment.
In true Blended Bites style, this recipe embraces our philosophy of Addition Eating. Instead of focusing on what you are avoiding, you are adding more protein, more wholesome ingredients, and more satisfying choices into your day.
Healthy eating becomes much easier when the food is genuinely enjoyable.
One of our favourite things about these Frozen Whipped Cream Protein Bites is how incredibly versatile they are.
Of course, they are delicious eaten straight from the freezer as a cool, creamy snack.
But that is only the beginning.

Another wonderful feature is how easy they are to customise.
Vanilla creates a classic whipped cream flavour that’s perfect with fruit.
Chocolate turns them into frozen chocolate mousse bites.
Coffee makes them taste like frozen cappuccino cream.
Birthday cake, peppermint, caramel, cookies and cream, strawberry, raspberry, coconut, mocha, lemon, and peanut butter are all delicious variations.

You can also decorate them before freezing by sprinkling on cacao nibs, freeze-dried fruit, toasted coconut, cinnamon, chopped pistachios, mini chocolate chips, or colourful sprinkles.
They are as beautiful as they are delicious. Once frozen, these bites hold their shape remarkably well, yet soften within a minute or two to become silky, creamy, and almost mousse-like.
