When your life is in super speed mode, there are mornings that you forget to eat.
YES! Imagine that! Its possible to forget to put food in your mouth until lunch time. I practiced this nasty habit myself when I had to go to work each morning. It can cause your health and body to suffer and certainly your energy levels.
So if this is you, its time to tell yourself, no more. I found when I took the time to make something delicious for myself the night before with minimum effort in the morning it really helped to avoid this bad habit.
Busy mornings call for a quick breakfast. So, when I’m looking to make something nutritious and filling, but healthy FAST, smoothies and smoothie bowls are the way to go.
Super quick and you can have it sipping on your way to work or to drop kiddos to school. Now-a-days working from home, I like to make a smoothie bowl sit on my computer and enjoy eating it with a spoon. And that’s where smoothie bowls come to shine. Sweet, creamy, and with colorful toppings, it’s a real sight for hungry eyes. And real treat for the hungry belly.
This incredible green grape smoothie bowl was on my menu for few times last week. It was so tasty and so delightful, I just had to put it online to shine! It’s thick, cooling and creamy, bursting with fresh flavors. + It’s packed with superfoods and nutrients. The pretty green hue comes from a double dose of healthy green ingredients, and the flavor is sweetened solely with fruit.
I tossed in a handful of fresh baby spinach. Which makes this smoothie bowl secretly “green”. It tastes like a decadent treat, but made with good-for-you ingredients and packs in the protein in a delicious and healthy way!
One of the main struggles I see with my personal training clients is getting in more protein. I get it, protein isn’t always as fun as carbs and fat, but it is essential in our diets.
Protein (amino acids) are the building blocks of cells, tissues, organs, and systems (provide structure and function), are crucial to the production of hormones, helps with digestion, helps with having a good body composition and gaining muscle, and helps keep us full (just to name a few!).
While I think focusing on real whole nutrient-dense foods is the best way to get protein, I love using protein powder for an extra boost. And this protein smoothie bowl does exactly that!
I’m not sure how I came up with this easy concoction, but I’ve been making it for years. Depending on how much of each ingredient you use, this high-protein smoothie bowl can be eaten for breakfast (as a full meal) or as a snack. Heck, I’ve even made a smaller portion of it for dessert! Adjust the quantities to fit your individual needs and goals.
