EASY – This recipe is very easy to make since there is no cooking involved either. It’s a great way to turn protein shakes into delicious treats. They sound almost too good to be true! Delicious vanilla and chocolate swirled layers, but without any added sugar.

Experience the delight of guilt-free indulgence with this frozen protein pop recipe – a creamy blend of deliciousness to keep in your freezer for an any time treat or snack. They are super easy to make and require very minimal ingredients so you can easily elevate your frozen treat game with this nutritious dessert, proving that healthy can also be delicious.

While I made large popsicles you can make them smaller ones, or any size you want. Even if you don’t have popsicle molds, you can always freeze them in ice cube molds with tooth picks. Think bite-sized treats!

These treats have a good doze of protein from the protein powder – making sure you get all the good nutrients you need. If you want to increase the protein content even more, just use a yogurt higher in protein.

It’s shocking how good these are! If you let them thaw a little bit before snacking, they become the perfect texture. These babies are the ultimate healthy sweet treat as the protein content will leave you feeling full while also satisfying and helping to curb sugar cravings while still being healthy!

That’s really the trick with eating healthier, its not limiting or denying yourself yummy things, its about ADDING good stuff so you don’t crave the not-so-good high sugar things that can wreck health.

Ahem… the ingredients are sooo good in these protein pops, that they might even qualify as breakfast material! Or at the very least as an actually healthy treat packed with good fats and plenty of minerals (think magnesium!).

Perfect for a post-workout snack or a healthy dessert, these popsicles are not only nutritious but also incredibly easy to make. Enjoy a burst of flavor while fueling your body with wholesome plant-based ingredients.

Chocolate Layer

  • 1 cup almond (or your choice) milk
  • 1 banana or 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 scoop protein or collagen powder, unflavoured or chocolate
  • 2 dates, add more if you want more sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions

Vanilla Layer

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a jug and set aside.

Chocolate Layer

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a separate jug and set aside in the fridge.

To Assemble

  • Fill each mold half-way with the vanilla smoothie. Freeze this layer for about 30 min – 1 hour (just to partially freeze the layer. This will ensure that the chocolate layer won't sink and mix with the vanilla layer).
Pour the chocolate smoothie layer over the semi-frozen vanilla smoothie layer. Using a skewer or extra popsicle stick, gently swirl the two layers.
Insert the popsicle sticks, and freeze for at least 6 hours to completely freeze the popsicles.
Dip the popsicle molds in hot water for a few seconds (or under running hot water), to make it easier to un-mold them. Place the un-molded popsicles in zipper bags and in the freezer for whenever you need a delicious and healthy snack!
