Easiest Five-Minute Dessert Ever

Chocolate mousse is the decidedly decadent, old-school dessert you have been overlooking for far too long. And honestly, I get it: Classic chocolate mousse is a little fussy and requires separating eggs, getting melted chocolate to the just right temperature, and lots of careful folding.
But did you know there’s an easy 3-4 ingredient chocolate mousse that absolutely anyone can pull off? With just a cup of heavy cream and some cocoa, you can pull off a very impressive dessert with ease. All you need to know how is how to whip the cream.
This easy chocolate mousse is the fastest, fanciest dessert I know, and the results are so creamy, rich, and perfectly sweet that I am willing to call it the only dessert you need to master for life.
No eggs. No gelatin. Just creamy, rich, easy chocolate mousse!
Super rich, uber decadent - but secretly healthy and guilt-free!  Yup, that means no butter, no white sugar and no heavily sweetened condensed milk…  just pure, creamy, dreamy, chocolatey goodness.
Optional Add In – Shaved chocolate.
I’m sure there have been many foodies before me to have done this but I had to share this one. Because not only is it whipped-and-so-thick-and-creamy-and-rich-that-your-mouth-waters-while-eating-this-thing…you then get the crunch of shaved dark chocolate in every mouthful.
If you are looking for a dessert hack, a quick chocolate fix or even a dessert that the non-cook or non-baker can make and still have that “wow” factor?
Well… You’ve come to the right recipe!
This recipe is an airy, delicious chocolate mousse like recipe that whips up in less than 5 minute and can be enjoyed by all chocolate lovers!
You can serve it in shot glasses or pair it with your favourite berries or fruit. You can dress it up with toppings like chopped nuts or shaved chocolate.
The shot glass idea is perfect for when you are craving something sweet but just want a small portion. You can enjoy these bad boys as soon as you make them, or you can chill them in the fridge for a cooler dessert.
This whipped chocolate cream is perfect for piping on cupcakes, on top of a healthy smoothie or smoothie bowl or as a topping on overnight oats or chia pudding. Or, you can just enjoy it by the spoonful!
It is also a perfect dip for strawberries, and you can also use it a topping on cheesecake, pies, and hot chocolate too! You can control the thickness; whip it to soft peaks for a creamier texture, or whip it to stiff peaks to make it perfectly pipeable.
Just a little sugar means it’s not too sweet, so the chocolate flavor can shine.
This recipe can be summed up with one word - HEAVEN!

Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped until firm
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, folded in
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (optional) folded in
  • Stevia or sweetener to taste see note below
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Once the cream is whipped, fold all ingredients together. You can eat it right then but it’s sooooo much better chilled.
Or pipe mousse into 4 shot glasses. Serve immediately or chill until serving.
Sweetener:  You can use powdered sugar. Try a tablespoon to start. If you would like it sweeter, add another tablespoon. You can also use a zero calorie sugar substitute for a sugar free or low carb version. Use a 1:1 sugar substitute. For best results, use powdered variety such as Swerve powdered sugar substitute.
Top Tip: To save yourself some time and effort, use an electric mixer and make sure your bowl (preferably a metal one!) and beaters are nice and cold before you get started. This will help your cream whip quicker, easier, and make it more sturdy.
