Don’t you love a good sweet treat that’s 100% natural and has no added sugars? Me too! In fact, when I discovered that frozen bananas transform into the silkiest, smoothest dessert, I was shocked! I couldn’t wait to share this banana ice cream recipe with you. It’s called ‘nice cream’ rather than ice cream, just to differentiate the two. Nice cream is a super easy, take on traditional ice cream, yet made very differently. You don’t need one of those special ice cream churning machines, you simply use frozen bananas, a splash of milk and some flavourings – that’s it!

It tastes like ice-cream and it is so damn good! This is definitely one for the recipe bible. You will be in awe of the creamy, fruitful deliciousness before your spoon even begins to melt into the bowl. Once you start making nice creams, you will stop buying store bought ice creams, the creaminess it has is nothing less than any ice cream and the plus point is, it is absolutely healthy!

Let the bananas and berries thaw a bit (just 5 minutes or so), which will make them slightly easier to blend, then throw them along with the milk and any other add ins into a food processor. You can eat the nice cream straight out of the blender if you like the soft-serve texture. For a firmer texture, spoon the mixture into muffin cups or any bar mold or dish and set it in the freezer for about 30 minutes until it firms up.

Once you start making nice creams, you will stop buying store bought ice creams, the creaminess it has is nothing less than any ice cream and the plus point is, it is absolutely healthy! Full of nutrition and fruits, here is another way of eating more fruits.

There are reasons why proteins are important in a healthy balanced diet such as:

A well-balanced diet with proper ratios of macro nutrients (protein, healthy carbs and fats) provides all of the: energy you need to keep active throughout the day. nutrients you need for growth and repair, helping you to stay strong and healthy and help to prevent diet-related illness.

When you find your optimal balance and amounts of macro nutrients, you take a major step toward reaching your health goals and this balance has been improved in this recipe by the addition of healthy protein.
