Videos of viral frozen yogurt bark have been taking the internet by storm – and for good reason. It’s easy, quick, and makes a nutritious treat. However, I’ve been making these little bites for months now and can’t get over them! They feel like you are eating the most luxurious ice cream bites if you close your eyes a little hard (lol).
I don’t know if you and I are an anomaly, but I THINK most of us can get down with a lunch-dessert. You know, a little sweet treat after every meal. These are perfect for that.
Frozen yogurt bites are low maintenance to make and pleasing to the eyes! Not to mention they are fun, being so poppable and bite-size! If you are feeling like trying something new and delicious, try these strawberry frozen yogurt bites covered in white chocolate!
The best part about these little cuties is how versatile they are! They are high protein, can be made dairy-free/vegan, and taste sinful! They are fun to make, delicious to eat, and full of simple and healthy ingredients, and pretty too. Perfect to stash in your freezer to grab whenever the craving for a special ‘something’ hits.
The beauty of this recipe is that you can add as much (or as little) sweetener as you like, add in and use different fruit and berries that you like to make it in your way and taste.
The creamy rich inside is covered with a thick, chocolate layer making these so satisfying to bite into! They are the perfect cross between fudge and ice cream and only take a few minutes to make.
One thing about me is I’ll always have a stash of multiple kinds of treats in my freezer. If I’m recipe testing or just prepping for the week, I’ll put leftovers in the freezer so whenever I’m craving a sweet treat I have so many delicious, healthier options! Depending on how much I’ve been in the kitchen, there can be A LOT to choose from which is both a good and bad thing 😅
I almost always have one of my frozen yogurt treats prepped and ready. So far, I’ve shared lots of frozen yogurt snacks and I wanted to make one using white chocolate. If you are like me, there’s never such thing as too much chocolate! I love these others but these immediately became my latest obsession. I honestly think these are some of the BEST things I’ve ever made!
With many frozen yogurt recipes, they can come out icy and not a creamy texture. But with these, they are fudgey, creamy, and look like something you would get at a chocolate shop (but with so much less effort)!
By combining the peanut butter, Greek yogurt, and protein powder, along with the other simple ingredients, we are creating a smooth, thick base that keeps these from turning icy.
These ingredients are also a great mix of protein, healthy fats, and carbs to make this a balanced, blood sugar supporting treat. They are perfect for when you want something sweet and have a sneaky boost of protein without the sugar crash!
Whether you are prepping treats for the week ahead, want something to share when having people over, or just need a new recipe to try, these will quickly become a regular in your house.

Strawberry Frozen Yogurt Protein Bites
Ingredients
- 1 cup thick Greek-style yogurt
- 1 13.5 oz can coconut cream, full fat (solid part only) *see note below
- 2 scoops protein or collagen peptides powder
- 1/2 cup freeze dried strawberries, roughly crushed
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chocolate Coating
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- Extra freeze dried strawberries for topping/garnish
Instructions
- Note: Place the can of coconut cream or milk in the fridge or freezer for at least 1-2 hours before making these bites to allow coconut cream to separate. When ready to make the yogurt bites, open the chilled can and scoop out the cream that has separated and set hard on the top. Save the remaining coconut water to use in a smoothie, drink, or discard.Add the hardened coconut cream along with the other ingredients – yogurt, protein powder, strawberries, honey and vanilla extract to a food processor and process until smooth and creamy.Taste test and add more honey or vanilla if you think it needs it.Pour the mixture into a 6-8 hole silicone mold, ice cube tray or a muffin tray with paper liners. It does not matter how big or small these are. You can choose the size. Place in the freezer for 2-3 hours until completely firm.Line a tray or dish with parchment paper and melt the chocolate.
Chocolate Coating
- Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in small dish and microwave with 30 second bursts stirring between each one until melted and smooth.Or use double boiler method - (pot of boiling water with a bowl resting on top) melt the chocolate chips and the coconut oil together.Remove the bites and after checking they are firm and set, pop out of mold.Once the chocolate is melted use two forks to hold each yogurt bite and one by one, dip into the melted chocolate, and roll around until fully coated, then place onto the parchment lined tray.Or hold each one with a fork over the melted chocolate and spoon it over letting the excess drip back into the bowl. Sprinkle with freeze dried strawberries, then chill until chocolate has set. Then transfer them to an air-tight container, storing them in the freezer for up to 3 months. Let thaw for 10 minutes before eating so the inside is creamy.
