Looking for a quick delicious snack with protein? This one’s a winner. Creamy banana, peanut butter, yogurt and protein powder combine to create yogurt bark, an easy, healthy snack or dessert.
As a busy person, I’m always on the lookout for easy, healthy treats that feel indulgent without taking hours to make. That’s exactly why I love this protein, yogurt bark! It’s a no-bake recipe that uses just five simple ingredients I always seem to have on hand – bananas, yogurt, peanut butter, protein powder and honey.
The original viral banana bark uses sliced bananas… but that took way too much effort to get everything evenly layered and keep the peanut butter from moving all the slices when spreading it out – so I have found a much better and quicker way to do it. We are using the much simpler “mash and spread” method for this one!
What makes this recipe amazing is how it manages to hit all the right notes: it’s creamy, frozen, sweet, and a little decadent, yet it’s naturally sweetened and packed with nutrients like potassium and healthy fats.
Plus, it’s a freezer-friendly snack that I can prep ahead and grab whenever I need a pick-me-up. This bark has become a go-to in our house. It’s fun to make, easy to customize, and perfect for those moments when you need something sweet. And let’s be honest—having a stash of this in the freezer feels like a little act of self-care during a chaotic day. Trust me, you will want to make extra because it disappears fast!
What makes this yogurt bark amazing:
Naturally sweetened: The bananas provide natural sweetness, reducing the need for added sugars.
Healthy ice cream alternative: Since you eat this bark frozen, it’s a healthier option than many store-bought ice cream bars– the perfect healthy plant-based snack!
Kid-friendly: A fun and healthy snack that even picky eaters will enjoy.
Freezer-friendly: Perfect for meal prep or keeping a stash for those mid-afternoon cravings.
Versatile: You can customize this bark with mix ins and toppings like sea salt, crushed peanuts, or even shredded coconut. Homemade chocolate bark is a great way of lifting simple ingredients to a higher level and making it a healthier treat.
And the beauty of it doesn’t reside in the end product only. Making your own yogurt bark is such a fun way of being creative in the kitchen and something you can do with children. It’s not as messy as some other desserts, and your kids can let their creativity go wild.
Dangerously easy to make with endless combinations, and you know, as they say – treat yo self!
