Anything with the name "snickers" in it is a win in my book. What's not to love about a nougat base, creamy caramel filling and rich chocolate coating?
While name-brand snickers are delicious, in my opinion, they aren't made with the healthiest ingredients.
That's why I am sharing this Frozen Banana Snickers recipe! These healthy "snickers" are rich, creamy and refreshing all at the same time!
I got the idea for these after seeing frozen banana snickers going viral on TikTok. I love how amazing new food trends are being created on internet websites like TikTok and some of them go viral and get loads of attention.
This recipe is one of them, making a huge buzz. I have tried a few of these viral TikTok recipes recently and they do not disappoint. Its not every day that a food trend exceeds my expectations, but this one is definitely a winner.
Although I don't think there is anything wrong with having a classic snickers bar on the rare occasion. After all, who doesn’t love a good Snickers bar? I know I do. But it’s not the healthiest choice to be eating a candy bar every time you have a sweet tooth or chocolate craving.

Servings 3

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas, ripe, firm
  • 1/2 cup peanut (or any other nut) butter
  • 1 tablespoon peanut or almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup peanuts, roasted, chopped

Chocolate Drizzle

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Instructions

  • Peel your bananas, cut them in half and then slice those halves vertically so you are left with 4 pieces per banana (12 pieces total) that have a long, flat section. Place them on your lined baking sheet.
In a mixing bowl, stir together the peanut butter, peanut flour and honey until well combined and thick.
Spread about 1 tablespoon of the peanut butter mixture on top of the flat part of your sliced bananas then add crushed peanuts.

Chocolate Drizzle

  • Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in small dish and microwave at 50% power with 20 second bursts stirring between each one until melted and smooth.
Or use double boiler method - (pot of boiling water with a bowl resting on top) melt the chocolate chips and the coconut oil together.
Once melted, drizzle the chocolate over top of the peanut butter/nut covered bananas. Sprinkle another touch of crushed peanuts on top of the chocolate.
Place the banana "snickers" in the freezer until hardened.
    Notes
Frozen bananas have a tendency to thaw really quickly, so I like to store these in the freezer at all times.
Once they have frozen initially on the baking sheet, you can transfer them to an airtight container or a freezer-safe zip-lock bag until ready to enjoy.
I like to eat these straight out of the freezer, but if you think they are too hard, you can let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes before enjoying.
