Chocolate and nuts is the best combination ever and this chocolate fudge recipe brings them together beautifully. This is a very easy to make chocolate fudge recipe with just 6 ingredients and 15 minutes of hands on time.
Fudge is such a delicious, creamy candy that is usually made with a base of butter, sugar and milk. Made the old fashioned way it is perfectly soft, smooth and so addicting! But on a modern healthy eating plan, its not great to be eating truckloads of sugar so it was time to ‘healthify’ the recipe.
My version is probably the easiest sweet treat I’ve made so far. All you need is 6 ingredients, a saucepan and a baking dish. It’s also vegan, paleo, dairy-free, refined sugar-free and keto-friendly!
I love delicious homemade candy recipes. It’s so fun to recreate nostalgic favorites with healthier ingredients for treats you can feel good about. Even better when there is no baking or cooking required! No-bake dessert ideas are some of my favorite kinds of recipes.
I’ve always been of the opinion that fudge should be easy to make – like very easy. Never ever have I bothered to fuss over a candy thermometer for good fudge, because it’s so unnecessary and stress-inducing.
My old, unhealthy favorite fudge recipe was pretty easy, but my new super easy chocolate fudge recipe is even EASIER. Like, no cooking necessary. Just melting the ingredients together. That’s my kind of easy, and this new fudge is based on that simply delicious recipe. I added nuts to make this chocolate fudge even more rich and tasty. This chocolate fudge was such a hit at home and it was all gone very quickly.
A creamy chocolate fudge that is healthier than traditional fudge. YES PLEASE! It is an easy snack or dessert and unlike other fudge recipes, this one isn’t made with butter, condensed milk, frosting, peanut butter or loads of refined sugar.
This fudge is fantastic for parties, snacking or dessert. It’s hard to eat just one, and with my version having way less sugar than a classic fudge recipe, you can go ahead and eat 2 or 3 or 6! Delicious easy fudge that’s made with better-for-you ingredients and without any fancy equipment. It’s also freezer friendly, so you can eat what you like and freeze the rest for later!
If you are looking for a super delicious healthier treat that only calls for small number of ingredients, you need to try this recipe! And once you try it you will want to make it time and time again. Whip up a batch in 15 minutes, freeze to harden, and store leftovers in the fridge so they are ready at a moment’s notice. Whether it’s for a pre-or post-workout energy boost or to satisfy that 3 o’clock snack craving these little bites are the golden ticket.
What toppings can I put on top?
Walnuts, peanut butter swirled on top, crushed peppermint candy, or shredded coconut are amazing on top of this fudge recipe! The options are endless.
Simply freeze the fudge for about 30 minutes, to let it set (otherwise the toppings will drop to the bottom of the fudge rather than stay on top) then put the toppings on top. Let it to continue to harden in the freezer with the toppings.
What to make with fudge…
If by chance you have some leftover fudge or for some reason your fudge doesn’t turn out, don’t despair and certainly don’t throw it out! Cut up some fudge add it to some hot milk and stir until smooth and there you have some amazing hot chocolate, maybe the best you have ever had? Or melt some of the fudge, either in the microwave or over a pot of boiling water and drizzle it over some ice cream or as a ganache on a cake. Hot fudge sauce never tasted so good.
Fudge makes a wonderful gift idea. Wrap it with some transparent wrapping and tie with a bow, or place on a decorative plate or how about place a stick in the middle and make fudge pops!
This Chocolate Fudge is so incredibly easy to make, it’s healthy and it’s extremely delicious! It’s chewy, fudgy, and decadent, yet still nourishing. “Good for your soul and your body” – I like to say.

Easy, Healthy Chocolate & Nut Protein Fudge
Ingredients
- 3 cups chocolate chips choose dark, milk, white, semi-sweet chocolate chips according to your preference
- 1 13.6 oz can coconut milk
- 1/2 cup cashews, almonds ,pecans chopped
- 1/3 cup tahini (sesame paste) or any nut or seed butter
- 1/4 cup protein or collagen peptides powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Line a 8 x 8-inch baking pan or dish with parchment paper on the bottom and sides leaving some overhanging to act as a handle to get the bars out easier for cutting.Add chocolate chips, coconut milk and tahini in a sauce pan.Turn the saucepan on LOW heat. Whisk constantly until it melts completely and everything is well combined. Be sure to stir constantly and keep it melting at low heat, you do not want burnt chocolate! Mine took about 5 minutes to melt completely. As soon as it is melted remove from heat stir in the nuts, protein powder and vanilla extract.Pour the melted mixture into the lined baking dish. (You can use a wider dish, the fudge will just be thinner than pictured.)Spread the mixture evenly in the dish , sprinkle with flaky sea salt (optional, but highly recommend) and then place it in the freezer to harden for at least 2 hours. Once it hardens, slice into small pieces and ENJOY!
