Blueberry Swirl Protein Nice Cream

Spread the love

This Nice Cream is one of those recipes that feels almost too easy for how good it tastes. It’s thick, creamy and naturally sweet, with the kind of soft-serve texture that makes you forget it’s made from fruit. The difference? A boost of protein that turns this from a light treat into something that actually satisfies.

If you are new to nice cream, here is the simple version. Nice cream is a healthier alternative to traditional ice cream made by blending frozen bananas instead of cream and sugar. When bananas are frozen and blended, they become incredibly creamy – almost like soft-serve. From there, you can add flavour with fruit, cocoa or nut butter. No dairy, no refined sugar, no ice cream machine.

In this version, blueberries are swirled into the blended frozen banana to add freshness, antioxidants and a beautiful natural colour. Blueberries bring a gentle tartness that balances the sweetness of the banana perfectly. Adding protein powder takes this nice cream to the next level, making it more filling and more supportive of steady energy.

This is especially helpful if you are someone who loves fruit-based desserts but finds they don’t quite “stick”. The protein helps slow digestion, keeps blood sugar more stable, and makes this nice cream suitable not just as a dessert, but also as a post-workout option, afternoon snack or even a nourishing breakfast on warmer days.

One of the best things about protein-boosted nice cream is how flexible it is. You can use vanilla or unflavoured protein powder to let the fruit shine, or choose a blueberry or berry-style protein if you want to lean into the flavour. You can also adjust the texture easily – add a splash of milk for blending, or keep it thick and spoonable.

This recipe fits beautifully into real life. It takes minutes to make, uses ingredients you can keep on hand, and doesn’t require planning ahead beyond freezing bananas and the blueberries. You can enjoy it straight away as soft-serve or freeze it briefly if you prefer a firmer scoop.

If you have ever felt like “healthy desserts” don’t quite hit the spot, this one is a great reminder that simple food, done well, can be incredibly satisfying. No rules, no restriction, just a nourishing treat that tastes as good as it makes you feel. 💥
