Choc-Berry Protein Fudge

Spread the love

Fudgy • Creamy • Fresh • Protein-Packed

If you love the combination of chocolate and berries, this Choc-Berry Protein Fudge is about to become your new favourite treat. It’s rich, smooth, and super chocolatey, balanced with bursts of fresh strawberry and finished with a silky chocolate drizzle that takes it to the next level.

This is not your typical fudge.

Instead of being overly sweet and heavy, this version is made with cashew butter, fresh strawberries, and protein powder, creating a soft, creamy texture that melts in your mouth while still nourishing your body. It’s indulgent, yes -but also balanced, satisfying, and made with real ingredients you can feel good about.

Think chocolate fudge… but fresher, lighter, and just a little bit elevated.

Why Chocolate + Strawberry Works Every Time

There is a reason chocolate and strawberries are such a timeless pairing. The richness of chocolate meets the natural sweetness and slight tang of strawberries, creating a balance that feels both indulgent and refreshing.

In this recipe, fresh strawberries are folded into a smooth chocolate protein base, adding little bursts of flavour and a subtle juiciness that contrasts beautifully with the creamy fudge.

It’s that contrast that makes each bite feel interesting, layered, and completely satisfying.

Cashew Butter = Creamy Perfection.  Cashew butter is the secret to achieving that perfect fudge texture without needing butter, condensed milk, or refined sugar. It’s naturally mild, creamy, and slightly sweet, allowing the chocolate and berry flavours to shine. When combined with protein powder and cocoa, it creates a smooth, thick base that sets beautifully in the fridge.

The result is a fudge that is:

Soft but sliceable
Rich but not heavy
Creamy with a melt-in-your-mouth finish

Protein That Feels Like a Treat

Adding protein powder turns this from a simple dessert into something more functional – without sacrificing flavour.
It helps:

Keep you fuller for longer
Support recovery after exercise
Balance blood sugar
Make sweet cravings more satisfying

Because the base is rich and creamy, the protein blends in seamlessly – no dryness, no chalky taste, just smooth, chocolatey goodness.

No Bake, All Reward

One of the best things about this recipe is how simple it is. There’s no baking, no complicated techniques – just mix, press, chill, and enjoy.

It’s perfect for:

Meal prep snacks
Healthy desserts
Entertaining (it looks beautiful sliced!)
Keeping in the fridge for when cravings hit

And that glossy chocolate drizzle on top? It adds just enough extra indulgence to make these feel truly special.

The Final Bite

This Choc-Berry Protein Fudge is rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with fresh berry flavour and deep chocolate notes. It’s indulgent enough to feel like dessert, yet nourishing enough to enjoy anytime.

Keep a batch in your fridge and you will always have a beautiful, protein-packed treat ready to go. ✨

  • 1/2 cup chocolate or vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa or cacao powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

Berry Topping

  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

Chocolate Drizzle

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Instructions

  • Line a 7 x 5-inch loaf pan or dish with parchment paper on the bottom and sides leaving some overhanging to act as a handle to get the bars out easier for cutting.
In a bowl, mix cashew butter, protein powder, cocoa powder, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, vanilla, and salt until smooth and thick.
Press the mixture evenly into the lined pan. Place the diced strawberries on top, pressing them down into the fudge a little as you do so.
Place in the fridge for 1–2 hours or freezer for 30–45 minutes until firm.

Chocolate Drizzle

  • Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in small dish and microwave with 15 second bursts stirring between each one until melted and smooth.
Or use double boiler method - (pot of boiling water with a bowl resting on top) melt the chocolate chips and the coconut oil together.
Drizzle over the fudge and return to the fridge for 10–15 minutes to set.
Cut into 8-10 bars or more smaller squares,
Store in the fridge for up to 5 days
    Keep in an airtight container
