Is This A Million Dollar Recipe?

Would you believe that one of my healthy snack recipes generated more than a quarter of a
million dollars in sales?

No, it didn’t all go to me. I wish. But I did earn more than my share of pocket money from the little enterprise. And so could you.

If you want the illustrated version of this story go here:  200 Snacks and Treats Recipes

Otherwise, let me tell you how I did it by winding the clock back 15 years

The nineties were coming to a close and I had just stumbled upon the raw food niche.

Well, I had actually known about it for a while. But having something of a sweet tooth meant that I was not keen on giving up tasty treats.

So I went to work trying to figure out how to have the best of both worlds. Healthy snack food + yummo taste.

What I came up with was a lemon bar. I’ll give you the exact recipe in just a moment.

I created my snack food out of 5 raw ingredients and molded them by hand into little bars.

Because I owned a gym with a healthy food café I was able to offer these lemon bars for sale.

Well, they sold like hot cakes. People even ordered them in large quantities to put in their freezer.

I had the girls who worked the café make the bars in batches every day.

Often they could not keep up with demand. My lemon bars were a hit.

We sold 40 gram bars for $2.00 a piece, usually in packs of two.

Most days we made between $50 and $100 on our little enterprise. Add that up over 15 years and it comes to more than $250,000.

Like I said – great little earner. And so easy.

And I reckon if I can do it then so can you.

You could make the very same bars, get a nice label printed and sell them online or at a local farmers market and make great and easy money
like I did for over 15 years. Or just make them for yourself or your family.

Children love to make these simple treats and they beat the heck out of the store-bought equivalents filled with sugar and all sorts of unhealthy
chemicals.

Here is the exact recipe:

————————

LEMON LOGS

3/4 cup cashews
3/4 cup almonds
3/4 cup dates
1/2 lemon (the entire thing)
1/2 cup desiccated coconut

Place the first four ingredients into a food processor and process until roughly ground.

Add coconut and continue to process until well combined. Shape into small oblong bars and
refrigerate.

You can also make orange or even lime logs, just swap the lemon for half an orange or lime.

This recipe is actually just one of 100 that I have developed over the years and combined into my book “100 Healthy Raw Snacks and Treats”.

Not too surprisingly, I guess, it has proved to be my best selling eBook for the last 9 years. Seems people enjoy their treats as much as I do 🙂

Recently I published another two volumes, each with 50 healthy raw dessert recipes in them. These contain no sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no gluten, and require no cooking.

Now, if I could sell a quarter million dollars worth of a single recipe, what do you think you might be able to do with 300 of them?

Food for thought, huh?

You can find all 3 of the books I’ve mentioned, plus a few more I have come up with containing some quite unexpected recipes here:
