These Frozen Chocolate Protein Bites are everything we love in Blended Bites style – simple ingredients, no baking required, and just the right balance of nourishing and delicious.
There is something so satisfying about a frozen bite-sized treat. They feel like little dessert truffles, but inside you will find creamy yogurt, rich cocoa, smooth peanut butter, and natural sweetness – all working together to create that classic chocolate-peanut butter magic.
Why Yogurt Makes These So Good
Greek yogurt is one of those powerhouse ingredients that deserves more attention in sweet recipes. It adds creaminess, tangy depth, and – most importantly – protein. When frozen, yogurt becomes almost cheesecake-like in texture. It is thick, luscious, and surprisingly indulgent without needing heavy cream or loads of sugar.
In these bites, yogurt forms the creamy base that swirls beautifully with peanut butter. The result? A soft ripple effect that gives you layers of flavour in every bite.
The Chocolate + Peanut Butter Factor
Chocolate and peanut butter are a dream team for a reason. The cocoa brings richness, while peanut butter adds smoothness and depth. A small pinch of sea salt enhances both flavours and makes everything pop.
Instead of refined sugar, we are using maple syrup for a gentle sweetness that complements the cocoa. If you love that slightly darker chocolate flavour, you can use raw cacao powder. Prefer it milder? Regular cocoa powder works perfectly.
Protein-Packed & Freezer Friendly
True to Blended Bites style, these are not just about flavour – they are designed to nourish. The combination of Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and optional protein powder creates a satisfying snack that helps keep you fuller for longer.
They are also ideal for:
After-dinner sweet cravings
Post-workout snacks
Afternoon pick-me-ups
Make-ahead freezer treats
And because they are portioned into small bites, they feel indulgent while keeping things balanced.
Creamy frozen yogurt bites with rich chocolate flavor and bold ribbons of peanut butter swirled throughout. Smooth, satisfying, and perfectly portioned for a quick sweet treat straight from the freezer.
Texture Tip
The key to getting that beautiful ripple effect is not over-mixing the two layers. You want visible swirls, not fully blended layers. It makes each bite look stunning and taste more dynamic. Once frozen, these bites are firm on the outside but soften slightly after a minute or two at room temperature. That is when the texture becomes ultra-creamy and fudge-like.
Make Them Your Own
Want to elevate them even more?
Add mini dark chocolate chips
Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top
Drizzle with melted dark chocolate before freezing
Swap peanut butter for almond or cashew butter
Use chocolate protein powder for an extra boost
The base recipe is simple, but the variations are endless. 💥
