Creamy, Fruity & Naturally Sweet (Blended Bites Style)
If there is one flavour combination that never goes out of style, it’s chocolate and strawberries. And these Strawberry Protein Nice Cream Pops bring that classic pairing to life in a fun, nourishing, freezer-friendly way. They are creamy, naturally sweet, chocolate-coated, and packed with protein -everything you want in a treat, with ingredients your body will thank you for.
This is exactly what Blended Bites is all about: taking something indulgent and turning it into something that fuels you. No refined sugar overload, no complicated steps – just simple ingredients blended together into something that tastes like dessert but works as a smart snack too.
The base of these pops is what gives them that “nice cream” magic. Frozen bananas create a naturally creamy, ice-cream-like texture without the need for heavy cream or added sugar. When blended with strawberries and yogurt, the result is smooth, fruity, and perfectly sweet with a slight tang that balances beautifully with the chocolate coating.
Adding protein powder transforms these from a simple frozen treat into something much more satisfying. Protein helps support muscle recovery, keeps you fuller for longer, and stabilises energy levels – meaning these pops don’t just taste good, they actually keep you going.
The strawberry flavour is fresh and vibrant, giving these pops that light, summery feel. Combined with the creamy banana base, it creates a texture that’s soft and scoopable before freezing, then firm and refreshing once set. It’s like strawberry ice cream – but lighter, brighter, and more nourishing.
Then comes the chocolate coating – the finishing touch that takes these pops to the next level. A layer of dark chocolate hardens into that satisfying shell, creating the perfect contrast to the creamy centre. It’s that classic “crack” when you bite in that makes these feel truly indulgent.
And in true Blended Bites style, this recipe is flexible and easy to make your own. Want a stronger strawberry flavour? Add freeze-dried strawberry powder. Prefer a sweeter pop? Adjust the maple syrup. You can even drizzle extra chocolate over the top or roll the pops in crushed nuts or coconut before the coating sets.
These nice cream pops are perfect for warm days, post-workout snacks, or evening cravings when you want something sweet but still aligned with your goals. Because they are individually portioned, they make mindful snacking easy – just grab one and enjoy.
They are also great for meal prep. Make a batch, store them in the freezer, and you have got a ready-to-go treat that feels indulgent but supports your lifestyle. It’s about making healthy choices easy, enjoyable, and something you actually look forward to.
These Strawberry Protein Nice Cream Pops prove that you don’t have to give up the foods you love. You just need to make them in a way that works for you.
