Rich & Creamy Chocolate Protein Mousse
Ingredients
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 scoop chocolate or vanilla protein powder
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (to taste)
- 1-2 tablespoons milk of choice for blending if needed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Optional Toppings
- Dollop of whipped coconut cream – recipe link below in notes
- Dark chocolate shavings
- Fresh berries
- Coconut flakes
- Nut butter drizzle
- Cacao nibs
Instructions
- Add cottage cheese, protein powder, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla and salt to a blender or food processor.Blend until completely smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed.Add a small splash of milk if you prefer a softer, lighter texture.Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.Spoon into 2 serving bowls and chill for 20–30 minutes for a thicker mousse texture, or enjoy immediately.Add your favourite toppings and serve.
