If you are craving something cold, creamy, and refreshing – but still want it to support your health goals – this Orange & Vanilla Protein Sorbet is the perfect solution. Bright citrus flavour meets smooth vanilla creaminess in a frozen dessert that feels indulgent while delivering a nourishing protein boost. It’s light, refreshing, and made with simple ingredients you can feel good about enjoying.

This sorbet is a beautiful balance of sweet and tangy. Fresh oranges provide natural sweetness and vibrant flavour, while thick yogurt creates a creamy texture without the need for heavy cream or refined sugars. A scoop of vanilla protein powder enhances the sweetness and adds staying power, making this sorbet more satisfying than traditional fruit-based frozen desserts.

One of the best things about this recipe is how easy it is to make. There is no ice cream machine required and no cooking involved. Everything is blended until smooth, frozen, and then briefly re-blended or scooped to create that soft, sorbet-like texture. It’s ideal for warm days, post-workout treats, or a lighter dessert when you want something refreshing rather than rich.

Unlike store-bought sorbet or ice cream, this homemade version lets you control the ingredients and sweetness level. A touch of honey or maple syrup balances the natural acidity of the oranges, while vanilla extract adds warmth and depth. If you love a creamier texture, using Greek yogurt gives the sorbet a thicker, more ice-cream-like consistency while still keeping it high in protein.

This Orange & Vanilla Protein Sorbet fits seamlessly into a balanced lifestyle. Protein helps support muscle recovery and keeps you fuller for longer, while the natural sugars from fruit provide quick energy without the crash. It’s a smart choice for anyone looking to enjoy dessert without derailing healthy habits.

Customising this sorbet is easy and fun. Add orange zest for an extra citrus punch, blend in frozen mango or pineapple for a tropical twist, or swirl in a little white chocolate for a more indulgent feel. You can even portion it into silicone moulds or popsicle shapes for frozen treats that are perfect for sharing.

Healthy desserts don’t have to be boring or complicated. This Orange & Vanilla Protein Sorbet proves that with just a few simple ingredients, you can create a frozen treat that’s refreshing, creamy, and supportive of your goals. It’s sunshine in a bowl – cool, creamy and protein-packed.
