Love crunch bars? These delicious healthy bars are easy to make at home with simple ingredients. Chocolate and peanut butter are melted and mixed together with crunchy cereal to make this super easy recipe.
Ready in no time, this chocolatey goodness requires only eight ingredients and is the best crunchy substitute to your regular sugar and dairy packed candies and bars. All you need is chocolate chips, crisped rice, peanut butter, and coconut oil to make this yummy treat at home. So much healthier than any store bought candy bar!
I’m a big fan of making my favorite versions of unhealthy food from scratch. I simply love to take an old fashioned sugar loaded recipe and ‘healthify’ it – removing high carb ingredients and in their place adding low carb and protein-rich ingredients so you can meet your health and fitness goals.
These crunch bars are a much healthier alternative to the conventional store bought rice crispy treats. These are refined sugar-free and have lots of healthy fats and protein, which is always a good approach to help our systems absorb sugar more slowly.
Why I love this recipe:
Creates that perfect balance of chewy, smooth, and crispy in every bite
Uses simple ingredients that transform into something truly special
Makes an impressive treat that looks like it took far more effort than it actually did
Irresistible flavor: peanut butter and chocolate are a match made in sweet treat heaven! It’s hard to resist the richness of sweet chocolate and the salty, nutty flavour of peanut butter together.
Clean ingredients: each bar is packed with clean ingredients, making it an excellent choice for post-workout recovery, snacking, or a quick energy boost. These bars are stacked full of vitamins and minerals and taste amazing.
Satisfying texture: these delicious bars offer a unique and lovely crunchy texture, making your snacking experience even more enjoyable.
On-the-go snacking: whether at the gym, in the office, or on an adventure, these crunch bars are a portable and a convenient source of protein.
Quick and easy to prepare: a few ingredients are mixed into one pan on the stovetop, then poured into a baking pan to set in the freezer. I love how simple this method is. This recipe is an excellent choice for those who want a balance of taste plus nutrition and wish to elevate their snacking experience. These bars are designed to please your taste buds while providing the protein you need.
Plus the salt from the roasted peanuts and pinch of cinnamon (if you choose to add) heighten the chocolate flavours, which makes these sweet treats rich in flavour and quite addicting to eat.
Crunchy, crispy, and creamy: the chocolate and peanut butter melts in your mouth, while the peanuts and rice cereal give these bars that satisfying crunch.
Shareable and portable: Cut these bars into as many pieces as you want.
Instead of 16 bars, I like to cut them into 32 smaller squares so that they are 2-3 bite pieces and more people get to enjoy them! 🙂
