Chocolate Coconut Protein Power Balls

Here is another one of those ‘bet you can’t eat just one’ treats! When you are on the go, powering through work, or finishing up a workout, it can be hard to find a snack that’s healthy, filling and actually tastes good.

That’s where Chocolate Coconut Protein Power Balls come in. These no-bake treats are a chewy, naturally sweetened option made with clean ingredients for a healthy, delicious and nutritious snack.

We all love a sweet treat but the high amounts of butter, sugar eggs, flour and sugar laden condensed milk used in traditional recipes but they do not play along nicely with a healthy eating plan.

Good thing that my favourite thing to do is take an old fashioned ‘not-so-healthy’ recipe and ‘healthify’ it – turning it into a healthier alternative. This is what I have done with this recipe and I promise you these are the best damn protein balls you will ever taste. Bold claim I know!

But these balls are truly a minimum fuss dessert. They hit at only 7 ingredients plus 2 for the chocolate drizzle! And for how easy they are, the flavour and richness are wild. So, SO good. I have the balls in a container in the freezer, and I just set one (or two) out to thaw a bit while we are cleaning up after dinner. Perfect sweet relief at the end of a busy day.

It was time for a new snack ball, bliss ball, energy ball, protein bite recipe – whatever you call them they are everywhere. After all, whoever is responsible for the idea that we should mash a bunch of healthy ingredients into one little ball as a snack is an absolute genius in my book.

Little spheres of snacking. Little orbs of awesome.

They are one of the easiest things to make, and, are a perfect little nutrient-dense bite for a satisfying and beneficial snack!  After all, who doesn’t love a good protein/energy ball or bar? They are among the most tasty, filling, and convenient healthy snack ideas you can enjoy. If you are looking to make homemade energy balls, though, then you have probably got an inkling that DIY’ing it has certain advantages.

The main draw with going the homemade route is the infinite customizability. When you make your own healthy treats, you never have to compromise on getting exactly what you are looking for. You can also save money by making your own healthy homemade snacks and they can taste way better than anything you can buy at the store.

I am quite certain this will be my new go-to item for pot lucks or family gatherings. I hope you like them half as much as my husband does; he may or may not have eaten half a batch of them over the past 24 hours.

Because these protein balls are crazy amazing you can feel good about eating one or two of them, even for breakfast and not feel one piece of guilt about it!

Whether you are looking for meal prep snacks, post-workout fuel, or a lunchbox addition, this recipe fits the bill.
