I know so many people who enjoy a cup of coffee first thing in the morning or even as an afternoon pick-me-up, but I also know just as many people who find it hard to get enough protein in their day.
That’s why this protein iced coffee recipe (nicknamed “proffee”) is genius! It’s a caffeine and protein boost in the form of a delicious, creamy, and refreshing iced coffee. Naturally, I had to share the coffee internet sensation that’s taken over our social media feeds recently – Whipped Protein Coffee. Its a dreamy, whipped iced coffee with a protein boost recipe. Light, fluffy and packed with bold coffee flavor.
The TikTok version is made with not the best ingredients: sugar, instant coffee and boiling water. I know people replace the sugar with coconut sugar to make it a bit healthier and natural, but there’s still “sugar” in the nutrition label.
So I have come up with a healthier version of Whipped Protein Coffee using protein powder in place of sugar. Just as fluffy, frothy and creamy, but SO much better for you! My own spin on this viral coffee trend…
I AM HOOKED!!
This concoction is so good, I even just ate that whipped part straight out of the bowl BEFORE it went into the glass.
I’m legit having MAJOR regrets here for not trying this out the moment it got popular a while back. Its so darn good!
Its sweetened gently with honey and finished with a hint of vanilla and a scoop of protein for a satisfying and energizing start to your day. The whipped topping floats beautifully over a glass of iced milk – like a fancy coffeehouse treat made right in your kitchen.
It’s honestly better than anything that I have ever found in a coffee shop! It’s bold, smooth, and just the right amount of indulgent.
Why you will love this recipe:
Super easy to make – It’s never been easier to get both my hit of coffee and extra protein whenever I want. Just blend and pour!
Extra protein – It’s important for everyone, but especially for women (and men too) of a certain age to get enough protein in their diet. That’s why I love this protein coffee recipe. It has it all!
Delicious – It’s creamy, and has the combination of espresso and vanilla flavors, and you can make it as sweet as you like.
When you are in the mood for a truly indulgent treat, and to take this drink to a whole new level, top it all off with a dollop of whipped coconut cream (store bought or homemade recipe below in notes). Whether you make your own by or opt for the ready-made store-bought version, you are sure to feel like a coffee connoisseur with every sip.
This special drink is best served fresh. the whip is most stable and airy right after mixing, so don’t wait too long to enjoy it.
So go ahead, take that first delicious sip and start your day off right!
