Who says birthdays should come only once a year? With my Birthday Cake Smoothie Bowl, every morning can feel like a special celebration! It has all the fun flavors of a sprinkle-studded birthday cake in one healthy fruit-sweetened breakfast bowl!

It is thick, creamy and tastes like the yummiest ice cream!  It is garnished with sprinkles, coconut whipped cream, shredded coconut and frozen berries.  This smoothie bowl is refined sugar-free, vegan, paleo and gluten-free. You can have fun with the toppings and get creative.

This version of a Birthday Cake Smoothie Bowl requires just a few minutes to put together and you will be the dessert hero of the day.  Or, if you really want to please your family, you can serve these to the family for breakfast.  Your kids will think they are having dessert to start their day.

If you are a lover of all things cake batter, this recipe is for you! This recipe is just as delicious as scraping the cake batter bowl clean! This is one of the easiest, yummiest, and well-balanced breakfasts that can be thrown together the night before and is ready in the morning!

There can be no more excuses for not eating a delicious and satisfying breakfast, no matter how busy your mornings are! This smoothie bowl is guaranteed to be something you look forward to waking up to!

The base of the smoothie is frozen bananas which give it a thick and creamy feel – almost like ice cream.  I added frozen riced cauliflower and blanched slivered almonds too for added nutrition and more creaminess.  It is naturally sweetened with dates and the bananas keeping it refined sugar-free.

You can also add rolled oats for a cake-like flavor.  To keep it thick I only used ½ cup of plant-based milk.  You could add whatever birthday cake flavor or color you like best.  Here, I stuck with vanilla/white to keep it classic.

My granddaughter Mila, said for her birthday she wants a strawberry/pink birthday cake smoothie bowl.  Sounds good to me!  Have fun mixing it up and making it your own.  I hope this provides you with a base recipe that can be used for inspiration to make your birthday cake smoothie bowl perfect for you!  Mine would obviously be chocolate-themed.

This Birthday Cake Smoothie Bowl is creamy, delicious, and it will make you feel like it really is your birthday! It’s low calorie with a protein powder base, leaving plenty of room for your favorite sweet toppings. Just throw your ingredients together, blend, and enjoy!
