Birthday Cake Protein Smoothie Bowl

This Birthday Cake Smoothie Bowl is creamy, delicious, and it will make you feel like it really is your birthday even if it isn’t! It's super nutritious with a frozen banana ice cream like base, leaving plenty of room for your favorite sweet toppings. Just throw your ingredients together, blend, and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas, sliced, frozen
  • 1 cup frozen, riced cauliflower
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup blanched slivered almonds or raw cashews
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 4 dates or 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 scoops protein or collagen peptides, plain or vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Boost It: 1 tablespoon chia seeds, hemp seeds and/or ground flaxseed

Toppings Optional

  • Dollop of coconut whipped cream – recipe below in notes
  • Fresh or frozen berries
  • Shredded coconut
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  • In a high speed blender, add all the ingredients and blend until smooth and creamy. 
    Taste and adjust sweetness and flavors as desired. Pour into a shallow bowl and garnish as shown in the picture.  Or, be creative and do your own thing.
    *If you need to use more milk to get the blender going try adding only a little bit at a time.  If you use too much the smoothie bowl will be too thin and runny.
