Super Thick Health Shake

The latest craze is making super thick smoothies, almost like ice cream, much thicker and creamier than their liquid counterparts, and hence eaten with a spoon rather than drunk through a straw.
I get asked all the time, how do you make your smoothie bowls so thick? The answer is SO simple! You only need frozen fruit and a splash of milk. Any fruit works! That is it. That is the secret to my super thick smoothies.
Feel free to customize your thick shake with extra add ins such as, cocoa powder, nut butter, protein powder, a handful of greens, vanilla extract or try different fruits.
Sprinkle toppings on like shredded coconut, roasted peanuts, or caramel sauce. The toppings are where you can get really creative, adding additional texture or crunch with an array of different ingredients. Let your artistic side shine and create a masterpiece.
Here is a simple base recipe to get you started.

Ingredients

  • 1 banana, frozen, chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk of choice

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender.
    Place lid on blender and blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
