Chocolate Orange Overnight Protein Oats

Spread the love

I swear I’ll never get tired of overnight oats, and this is why:

  • They are da best on-the-go breakfast for busy mornings – just pop them into a mason jar and garnish with some trendy superfoods toppings, then feel healthy while you eat them at your desk, or wherever- my dining table = my desk most of the time.
  • They will keep you full until lunch.
  • They are such a cool blank canvas for all sorts of flavors!

I just can’t get enough of these incredible Chocolate Orange Overnight Oats.  The contrast between the chocolatey richness and the bright citrus from the orange is a perfect match, especially the bitter flecks of orange zest that are stirred right into the oats- YUM. Definitely don’t skip that because it’s everything.

And there’s another sneaky little ingredient that I mixed in to give them an added health upgrade: collagen peptides, (or your fav protein powder) which are a pretty sweet addition to any batch of overnight oats.

Making collagen a regular part of your diet benefits your hair, skin, nails bones, digestion and so much more. And since it’s soluble in liquids incorporating it into your recipes is practically effortless.

If you are going to start experimenting with adding collagen peptides to your recipes, I suggest starting with this recipe. The only thing I like more about it than the bright specks of orange zest and the secret collagen boost are the toppings: juicy orange segments and crunchy cacao nibs? Weekday breakfast doesn’t get any better than this, folks.

There can be no more excuses for not eating a delicious and satisfying breakfast, no matter how busy your mornings are! This overnight oats recipe is guaranteed to be something you look forward to waking up to!

Overnight oats are the perfect solution to a busy life, or to those who are trying to enjoy a slower morning. They help you organize your thoughts first thing in the AM since you don’t need to consider what you will eat; overnight oats are happily waiting for you!

They are a great way to start your day with all the essential nutrients and when its something you enjoy and look forward to all the better!
