Ingredients

Nice Cream Base

  • 3 ripe bananas ,sliced, frozen
  • 1/3 cup vanilla protein powder
  • 2-4 tablespoons milk of choice (almond, oat, dairy)
  • 1/4 cup macadamia nuts (or any other nuts) chopped

Chocolate Magic Shell

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil

Optional Toppings

  • Extra chopped macadamias
  • Shredded coconut
  • Cacao nibs

Instructions

  • Slice ripe bananas and freeze in a single layer for at least 4 hours, or overnight. This ensures a thick, creamy texture.
    Add frozen banana slices, protein powder and vanilla extract to a high-speed blender or food processor.
    Blend until crumbly at first. Slowly add milk, one tablespoon at a time, just until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. Avoid adding too much liquid – you want it thick like soft serve.
    Fold through chopped macadamia nuts.
    You can enjoy the nice cream straight away for a soft-serve texture, or transfer it to a container and freeze for 30–60 minutes for a firmer scoop.

Chocolate Magic Shell

  • Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in small dish and microwave with 15 second bursts stirring between each one until melted and smooth.
    Or use double boiler method – (pot ofboiling water with a bowl resting on top) melt the chocolate chips and thecoconut oil together.
    Scoop the nice cream into 2 bowls and drizzle the warm chocolate over the top. Within seconds, it will harden into a glossy shell. Crack with your spoon and enjoy.
    Tips for the Creamiest Texture
    Use ripe bananas with brown spots for natural sweetness.
    Blend patiently – scrape down the sides as needed.
    If your blender struggles, let bananas thaw for 2–3 minutes before blending.
    For extra richness, add 1 tablespoon coconut cream.
