If you are looking to cut back on your sugar cravings, but still want to enjoy something sweet, this is a great recipe to make. This “mousse” tastes great and is a good way of getting extra nutrients into your diet while satisfying your sweet tooth.

Whip up this protein-packed strawberry mousse and experience how effortless it is to indulge in something that’s both nutritious and delicious. The proof is in the pudding – literally!

After seeing recipes like this all over social media, I knew I needed to try it for myself. I love sweet treats, and making them healthier and higher in protein to make them more nutritionally balanced is my favorite thing! I was pleasantly surprised that it turned out to be a delicious and super satisfying protein-rich dessert. After a few different versions, I can honestly say that this recipe is one of the best healthy but simple protein snacks I’ve ever had!

If you are you craving a creamy, indulgent snack or treat but want to keep it healthy and high in protein whether it be for a post-workout snack or a light, indulgent dessert this strawberry mousse will satisfy your sweet tooth.

When I was first studying nutrition as part of my fitness qualifications, I was fascinated to learn that our cravings are truly messengers for us and when we can learn to work with them and not fear them, they can really improve our ability to tune into our hunger cues and serve our body’s needs – not just physically but mentally and emotionally.

Diet culture has trained us to think that cravings and overeating are somehow a failure on our part when in reality these urges are often our body’s physiological response to restrictive eating habits.

As I started working with clients to help them release that diet mentality and improve their relationship with food one of the biggest surprises for them has consistently been when I suggested *adding* a snack or two into their day rather than implementing more willpower. The result – more energy, more stable appetite, less intense cravings or feeling out of control around food and more body trust!

In case you have not heard of this…the “addition diet,” also known as the “add, not subtract” approach to dieting, is a method that focuses on incorporating nutrient-rich, wholesome foods into your meals and snacks rather than emphasizing what foods to eliminate or restrict.

This approach encourages a positive and sustainable relationship with food by adding fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, dairy, nuts, seeds, and other unprocessed ingredients to your diet.

The idea is that by filling your plate with nutritious options, there’s naturally less room for empty calories, which can lead to weight loss without the feeling of deprivation often associated with traditional diets.

It’s about creating a balanced and satisfying diet that includes the foods you enjoy while meeting your nutritional needs. This recipe has both cream and cream cheese in it and eating these foods and incorporating some dairy into a balanced diet is fine for both body and mind.

Eating or drinking dairy products offers health benefits, like building and maintaining strong bones. These foods provide nutrients that are vital for the health and maintenance of the body. These nutrients include calcium, potassium, vitamin D, and protein, which are important for bone health and overall well-being.

I have been experimenting with a new way of eating that incorporates a ton of healthy fats into my daily diet including some dairy products. While not a strict ketogenic diet, my fat-first approach to eating has made a huge difference in how I look and feel. My energy is improved, my skin is healthier and I’m even seeing positive changes to body composition (fat to muscle ration); all without restricting calories.

Healthy fats help you build hormones and they even help your body to better absorb and utilize critical vitamins and nutrients. Healthy fat is wonderfully satiating and balances your blood sugar levels to help reduce unhealthy food cravings. This is a biggie for me as it quells food cravings and that keeps me from overeating.

Studies even show that eating a low carbohydrate diet rich in healthy fats can improve insulin sensitivity (how your body uses insulin) by approximately 75 percent.

I love the new healthy eating trends as its ALL about ‘adding’ to your diet, not reducing or eliminating certain food groups. More protein, more veges, more healthy fats and so on…

Although I’m a fitness professional and love getting into the kitchen and cooking from scratch, I am also a bit lazy. From pizza to brownies, I like creating recipes that are quick, easy and healthy. Oh, and delicious of course. Just like this simple strawberry cheesecake mousse.

Great for health conscious people or fitness enthusiasts and those seeking a protein-packed dessert option. Enjoy the rich texture and satisfying taste of this protein mousse. Ideal for post-workout snacks or any time cravings strike.

This little mousse is rich and SUPER easy to make. It will satisfy your sweet tooth whilst conjointly appeasing your appetite. Providing you with a nice balance of carbohydrate, protein and fat, it is an ideal snack whatever time of the day.

If you use a good quality protein powder it will be easily digestible and provide all the essential amino acids your body needs. It provides a tasty and convenient way to get the protein your body needs to support muscle growth and repair.
