Ingredients

  • 1/2 small ripe banana,mashed
  • 2 tablespoons protein powder (any flavour)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut (or any other nut or seed) butter
  • 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon milk of choice
  • cooking spray

Instructions

  • Spray a large mug with cooking spray. Add banana to mug and mash until mostly broken down. Add in protein powder, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and baking powder and stir until fully combined.
At this point, you should reach a batter-like consistency. However, depending on the protein powder used, it may still be somewhat dry. If this is the case, stir in the 1 tablespoon of milk to thin into a batter.

  • Cook with preferred method:
Oven bake - 180°C for 6 minutes or until the edges start to brown. Microwave - high for 60-90 seconds. Air fry it - Bake at 180°C for 6 minutes.
Batter should be mostly dry to the touch and have a cakey texture.
Top with yoghurt or ice cream or anything you wish.
