Frozen Yogurt Protein Bars

Easy Frozen Yogurt Bars packed with protein and with no added sugar! A refreshing healthy dessert, breakfast or snack for kids and adults alike. The perfect combination of flavor and health, packed with protein thanks to protein powder and Greek yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Greek-style yogurt 
  • 1/2 cup peanut (or any nut or seed) butter
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 scoops protein or collagen peptides powder
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Chocolate Swirl

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips + some extra for decoration
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, peanut butter, honey and vanilla extract until smooth.  Fold in chocolate chips.
    Pour the mixture into a lined 7 x 5-inch loaf pan, baking dish or silicone mold.

Chocolate Swirl

  • Place ¼ cup chocolate chips and coconut oil in small dish and microwave with 15 second bursts stirring between each one until melted and smooth.
    Or use double boiler method - (pot of boiling water with a bowl resting on top) melt the chocolate chips and the coconut oil together.
    Dollop spoonful’s of melted chocolate on top of the yogurt layer and using the back of a knife or spoon swirl the chocolate into the yogurt in a decorative manner.
    Add more chocolate chips on top for decoration if desired.
    Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm. 
    Once frozen, cut into 8 bars or more smaller squares to serve.
    Will keep up to 3 months in the freezer.
