Ingredients

  • 2 13.5 oz cans full-fat coconut cream or milk
  • 1/2 cup vanilla or unflavoured protein powder
  • 3-4 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger (or 2 teaspoons freshly grated)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch sea salt

Optional Add-Ins Or Toppings

  • Toasted coconut flakes
  • Chopped pistachios or almonds
  • Drizzle of almond or cashew butter 

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender.
    Blend until completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
    Taste and adjust sweetness or spice to your preference.
    Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container or loaf tin.
    Cover and freeze for 4–6 hours, stirring once or twice during the first 2 hours if possible for extra creaminess.
    Remove from the freezer and let sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before scooping.
    Serve and enjoy.
    Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. For best texture, allow to soften slightly before serving.
