Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour  (or oats blended to a flour)
  • 1/2 cup tahini (sesame seed paste) well stirred
  • 1/4 cup protein or collagen peptides powder
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Coating Optional

  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds or coconut shreds

Instructions

  • Optional step -If using sesame seeds to coat the balls, you can toast them in a dry pan over a medium heat for a couple of minutes stirring continuously. This will help bring out the natural nuttiness of the seeds. Leave to cool.
Add the tahini, honey, coconut oil and vanilla to a bowl and mix to combine.
Add the almond flour, protein powder, cocoa and mix until you have a dough consistency.
Shape into 10-12 balls and coat in the sesame seeds or coconut shreds.
Store your tahini chocolate balls in an air-tight container at room temperature (for softer balls) or in the fridge for up to 4 days.
