Magic Shell Protein Smoothie Bowl For One

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen fruit - banana, berries, pineapple or a mix
  • 1/4 avocado, pitted, frozen
  • 1/4 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon cashew or almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (only if it needs it)
  • 1 scoop protein or collagen peptides powder

Magic Chocolate Shell

  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Instructions

  • Add all smoothie bowl ingredients to a blender.
    Blend until smooth and creamy and no frozen fruit chunks are left.
    Taste test and add honey if needed.
    Scoop into a bowl and smooth out the top.

Magic Shell Topping

  • Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in small dish and microwave with 10 second bursts stirring between each one until melted and smooth.
    Or use double boiler method - (pot of boiling water with a bowl resting on top) melt the chocolate chips and the coconut oil together.
    Once melted, pour the chocolate over the smoothie bowl and swirl it around so it makes an even layer.
    Freeze the smoothie bowl for 5 to 10 minutes, until the chocolate has solidified.
    To serve, crack it open with a spoon and enjoy every mouthful.
    Top Tip:
    Melt chocolate before you make the smoothie. That way, your chocolate can be quickly poured over the smoothie bowl and you won't have much melting going on.
