This is the perfect lazy girl (or guy) breakfast or healthy snack. The kind for when you want something delicious, but can't be bothered to cook something complicated.
Dollop of whipped coconut cream – recipe below in notes
Fresh berries like strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries
Granola or toasted oats for a crunchy contrast
Chopped nuts such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans
Seeds like hemp for extra protein
Drizzle nut butter
Instructions
In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients together except for toppings until well combined. Taste test and add more honey, cocoa or vanilla if you feel it needs it.
Chocolate Magic Shell Topping - Optional
Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in small dish and microwave at 50% power with 10 second bursts stirring between each one until melted and smooth.Or use double boiler method - (pot of boiling water with a bowl resting on top) melt the chocolate chips and the coconut oil together.Pour the melted chocolate over the yogurt/protein mixture.Warm the nut butter slightly (if needed) and swirl it over the top of the chocolate topping. Sprinkle nuts on top for added crunchServe immediately, or place in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
