Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream (canned)
  • 2 scoops chocolate protein powder
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 soft dates
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2-2 cups ice

Toppings OptionalĀ 

  • Whipped coconut cream (homemade recipe link below in notes)
  • Dark chocolate shavings
  • Cocoa powder dusting
  • Melted chocolate drizzleĀ 

Instructions

  • Add the milk, coconut cream, protein powder, cocoa powder, dates and vanilla to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth and fully combined.
    Add the ice and blend again until thick, creamy, and frozen.
    Adjust sweetness or thickness if needed by adding more sweetener or a splash of milk.
    Pour into 2 glasses and enjoy immediately.
    Tips:
    For a thicker, milkshake-style drink, use more ice.
    For a lighter frozen chocolate, reduce the ice slightly.
    Vanilla protein powder also works for a milder chocolate flavour.
