Ingredients
Brownie Base
1cupalmond (or any other nut or seed) butter
2/3cupcocoa powder
1/4cuphoney or maple syrup
1/4cupprotein or collagen peptides powder
1teaspoonvanilla extract
Chocolate Frosting
1/2cupalmond (or any other nut or seed) butter
1/4cupcocoa powder
1/4cuphoney or maple syrup
4-5 tablespoonsany milk
1teaspoonvanilla extract
Instructions
Line a 7 x 5-inch loaf pan or dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
Brownie Base
In a medium mixing bowl, add almond butter, cocoa, honey, protein powder and vanilla and mix well. Taste test and add more honey or vanilla extract if you think it needs it.Transfer the batter into the lined pan and press down and smooth out with the back of a spoon or spatula. Place in the fridge while you make the frosting.
Chocolate Frosting
Blend everything together until completely smooth. It's smoothest if you use a blender or food processor but can technically be done by hand if needed. Add frosting on top of brownie base and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes.When ready to serve, slice into 10 squares.Store in the fridge for up to 1 week or freezer for up to 3 months.
