Blue Spirulina Protein Meal In A Bowl

This creamy, protein-packed spirulina smoothie bowl includes banana, blueberries, almond milk and is topped with blueberries, hemp seeds and shredded coconut. It is a creamy and smooth anti-oxidant ‘meal-in-a-bowl’ that features spirulina, an incredible superfood with amazing health properties.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup blueberries, frozen
  • 1/2 banana, sliced, frozen
  • 1/2 cup almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 scoop protein or collagen powder
  • 2 dates
  • 1 teaspoon blue spirulina powder

Optional Toppings

  • Chopped nuts
  • Fresh or freeze-dried fruit
  • Hemp or chia seeds
  • Coconut flakes
  • Drizzle nut butter

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into a food processor or high speed blender.
    Process until smooth and creamy.
    Add more milk, if needed. (Less milk will result in a thicker smoothie bowl).
    Pour into a bowl and add desired toppings.
    Nuts or nut butter are a great source of healthy fats. Seeds are full of fiber and contain many important vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
    Change it up each time for an always-fresh take on breakfast.
